Top 10 best-selling SUVs of September 2023
In the rankings of the top 10 best-selling SUVs for September 2023, the Tata Nexon secured the leading position, against competitors. Tata Motors recently introduced the updated Nexon and Nexon EV, with deliveries now underway at dealerships. Notably, the Nexon achieved remarkable success, recording sales of 15,325 units in September 2023. This marked a substantial growth of 6 percent compared to the same period last year when 14,518 units were sold.
The Brezza ranks 2nd in this list
In the list of the top 10 best-selling SUVs, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza secured the second position last month. It recorded sales of just over 15,000 units, slightly down from the 15,445 units sold during the same period the previous year, resulting in a 3 percent year-on-year decrease. Meanwhile, the Tata Punch claimed the third spot with a total of 13,036 units sold, surpassing the 12,251 units sold in September 2022.
Hyundai SUVs maintain a place on the table
The top-performing SUVs in the market demonstrated varying sales figures last month. The Tata Nexon led the pack with a noteworthy 6 percent year-on-year sales growth. Hyundai’s Creta, on the other hand, experienced a 1 percent decline in sales compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Venue showed impressive growth, posting an 11 percent increase in sales. In the lower half of the list, the Scorpio range secured the sixth position with combined sales of the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N reaching 11,846 units. It is one of the best-selling SUVs available right now.
Grand Vitara gives a tough competition
In a surprising turn of events, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has shown remarkable growth in SUV sales, achieving a staggering 146 percent year-on-year increase with 11,736 units sold last month. This substantial growth clearly highlights the strong appeal of the Grand Vitara in the market. Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, launched just a few months ago, has also garnered significant customer interest and appreciation.
Last but not the least!
Last but certainly not the least, in the list of the top 10 best-selling SUVs, we find the compact SUV coupe with 11,455 units sold, securing the eighth position. Following closely behind, the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Exter occupied the ninth and tenth positions, with 10,558 and 8,647 units sold, respectively. These rankings reflect the competitive landscape of the SUV market and the choices available to buyers.
