The 2022 Kia Rio is subcompact sedan with aesthetic and matured interior as well as exterior design at very affordable pricing. And surprisingly it gives ample amount of driving pleasure even at this price point. Rio also has wireless smartphone mirroring as a standard. But its exterior design will not like for some buyers although it’s a subjective thing. It has quite cramped boot space as well as rear seat space. Still it surely gives tough competition to the rivals such as Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit and Chevrolet Sonic. This is the cheapest Hatchback if you’re looking under $25-30K.

09. Acura Integra
In the world of crazy SUVs and hybrid cars, the all-new 2023 Acura Integra is all set to dominate the premium compact car market. The 2023 Integra is an entry-level luxury compact car from Honda’s premium brand. The Acura Integra is launched will an all-new design and engine overall compared to the previous gen model. The new Integra looks fresh with its upscale looks and modern-looking front and rear end. The sedans are a huge part of the brand’s identity, with the new Integra, Acura plans to fill the gap in the segment. It is a reliable four-door sedan with a brilliant performance, even better than the Honda Civic Si. The new Integra features a powerful 4-cylinder engine with both manual and automatic gearbox.
08. Mazda 3
2023 Mazda 3 is priced just like other compacts, aspiring to compete with more premium cars. And, yes it does, in many ways. This Mazda is available as either a sedan or a hatchback, and both are equally as good-looking and potent. When it comes to engine choices, it is offered in two four-cylinder engines, and this includes a punchy turbo. One can even have all-wheel drive, but that will make skipping the excellent six-speed manual. Other compact cars such as the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Volkswagen Jetta might seem more feasible or have more popularity than the Mazda, but the 3 is made for those consumers who value a thrilling driving experience and seek premium interior materials in their small car.
07. Subaru Impreza
Impreza isn’t that remarkable car, but at its price point, it’s a decent compact car. The smallest of Subaru’s family, the Impreza is available in both a sedan and a hatchback. All-wheel drive is standard, and a spunky ride and a feasible interior design are among Impreza’s highlights. The car also offers plenty of safety features, which include driver-assistance tech in CVT-equipped vehicles. Buyers can opt for a manual gearbox or a CVT. While we are happy that Subaru offers a manual, its five-speed isn’t the one we’d recommend, as it is not accurate enough. Talking about the Fuel economy, too, is worse with the stick. But even with the CVT, the car struggles to take on fuel mileage with its more efficient rivals. Overall, Impreza is a suitable choice for most purposes, but rivals such as Honda Civic and the Mazda 3 simply have more to offer.
06. Mini Cooper Base
The 2022 Mini Cooper, with it’s amazing small body styling with it’s notable precise handling and fun to drive experience catered by enormous customization options is the bread and butter of the company. 05. Hyundai Veloster
The Veloster N is still relatively fresh in the hot-hatch scene, three years since its debut, offering an exceedingly dynamic driving experience to match the youthful styling. Under the hood sits a delightful 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that pairs to a standard six-speed manual or optional eight-speed dual-clutch automatic to generate 275hp and 260lb-ft of torque.
04. Toyota Corolla
The car sports a 169-hp 2.0L four-cylinder sending the power to the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). An optional six-speed manual is available for SE, and Apex SE models. All the hatchbacks share the same powertrain, the sedan also offers a hybrid powertrain. The Corolla SE and XSE have a stiffer sport-tuned suspension. The car has a top speed of 118 mph, along with a 0-60 mph run time of 8.0 seconds. As per the EPA estimates, the FWD hybrid earns a 53 mpg city and 52 highway. Whereas, the estimates of the nonhybrid ICE will earn up to 40 mpg highway. However, the Corolla hatchback is rated up to 32 mpg city and 42 highway.

02 Volkswagen Golf

The VW also features a sport exhaust system, variable ratio steering, Larger front disc brakes, 19″ wheels, 10.2″ entertainment cluster, ADAS, heads up display, 30 color ambient lighting, cruise control, and lane keeping assist. 01. Honda Civic
Under the hood of the Civic Si lies a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-pot pumping out 200 hp and 192 pound-feet of torque. All that juice is transferred to the front wheels via a standard limited-slip differential and a six-speed manual transmission. An automatic option isn’t currently offered. The engine feels coarse when forced, as well as there was little turbo lag. However, the shifter’s short throws and light action are lovable. The manual gearbox also features a rev-match feature for drivers who haven’t perfected the heel-and-toe technique, which is easy to turn on or off. On testing, the Civic Si took 6.6-second for 60-mph time. This is 0.7 seconds quicker than a regular Civic hatchback. Again, when compared with the standard Civic, the Si has larger brake rotors and is available with a set of summer tires.
