Honda is set to enhance its presence in the Indian automobile market by introducing two new affordable and promising vehicles. The automaker will launch a mid-size sedan and a sub-4-meter compact SUV. In this article, we’ll talk about the upcoming Honda cars launching in India next year.
1. New Generation Honda Amaze
The Honda Amaze is a popular compact sedan that first made its debut in India in 2013. Honda subsequently launched the second generation in 2018, followed by a facelift model in 2021. The company is now gearing up for the release of the third-generation model in India in 2024.
The upcoming Honda Amaze will be built on a new platform and will offer more interior space than its predecessors. It will feature a stylish and sporty design. The anticipated price range for Honda’s new-generation Amaze starts at around Rs 6 lakh and goes up to Rs 10 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant.
2. Honda Sub-4-Meter Compact SUV
Honda is venturing into a new segment in India with its sub-4-meter compact SUV. The vehicle was unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo and will be based on the Honda MJ platform. It will feature high ground clearance and an eye-catching, rugged design. The interior will be equipped with a feature-packed dashboard, including a touchscreen infotainment system.
While the official name of the Honda sub-4-meter compact SUV has not been confirmed, reports suggest it could be called the Honda ZR V. This vehicle will compete with other popular models in the segment, such as the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra 300. The SUV will offer both powerful petrol and diesel engines. In terms of pricing, the vehicle is expected to start at just Rs 7 lakh in India, with the top variant reaching around Rs 11 lakh.
