The Volkswagen ID.3 GTX is coming next year with a hot hatch facelifted model.
Overview
Last year, Volkswagen hinted at a new car that will be similar to the Golf R. They unveiled the hot hatch ID.X as a concept hatchback with an all-electric powertrain. They claimed to make a production model of the ID.X after a couple of months. Seeing that, we could expect when the new ID.3 GTX could come.
A Volkswagen spokesperson cleared that the GTX will be a facelifted model of the ID.3 EV. We hope that the 2023 ID.3 GTX will be unveiled this year as per reports. And when the GTX will arrive, it will join the ID.4 GTX and the ID.5 GTX as performance-oriented electric vehicles.

The ID.3 GTX will be a performance SUV just like the ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX SUVs. The GTX versions will feature an all-wheel drive with a front-mounted electric motor. The ID.3 GTX will obviously be less powerful as it will sit behind the ID.4 and ID.5 performance SUVs. We speculate that the ID.3 GTX will have a decent 250-300 horsepower powertrain. And a zero to 60 mph acceleration time of under 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph.
The information still has to come from official sources from VW Group. We are still waiting for the official specs list and launch of the car. And if the new concept makes it to production. We expect that a convertible version with a folding roof could also be in the making. Until then, stay tuned!
