German auto giant Volkswagen introduces new Sound Edition models for Taigun and Virtus
Volkswagen has unveiled special editions of its popular models, the Taigun and Virtus, known as the Sound Edition. These special editions are based on the Topline trim and come with enhancements to elevate the driving experience. In this article, we’ll explore the new Virtus and Taigun Sound Edition models.
Pricing:
The Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition is priced at Rs. 16.33 lakh (ex-showroom). The Volkswagen Virtus Sound Edition is priced at Rs. 15.52 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powertrain:
Both the Taigun and Virtus Sound Editions are equipped with a 1.0L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The powertrain delivers a maximum power output of 115 PS and 175 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

- Powered Seats: The Sound Edition models come with powered seats for both the driver and front passenger, enhancing comfort.
- Special Badging: Both models feature a Sound Edition badge on the C-pillars, signifying their exclusivity.

Notably, Volkswagen has been actively expanding its lineup, introducing special editions like the Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition earlier this month. The Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition is priced between Rs. 11.62 lakh and Rs. 19.76 lakh (ex-showroom), offering customers a range of options to choose from. The Virtus, available between Rs. 11.48 lakh and Rs. 19.29 lakh (ex-showroom), caters to diverse preferences in the sedan segment.
