Hyundai Unveils Facelifted 2024 Tucson with Updated Design and Interior Features
Hyundai has taken the wraps off the facelifted version of its popular Tucson SUV for the global markets. The updated model is expected to hit Indian shores next year, bringing a refreshed exterior, enhanced interior features, and continued powertrain options. Exterior Updates:
The 2024 Tucson adopts an evolved exterior design, embracing Hyundai’s latest Parametric Dynamics design philosophy. A new grille section and updated Parametric Jewel pattern lighting system adorn the front, giving the SUV a refreshed appearance. The front bumper receives a restyled look, complemented by a new faux skid plate in the lower section. Newly designed alloy wheels add to the overall aesthetics. The rear has undergone modifications, contributing to the SUV’s modern appeal.
Interior Enhancements:
The interior gains a revised dashboard design, providing a contemporary look. A new panoramic curved display houses the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument console. A new three-spoke steering wheel enhances the driving experience. Repositioned HVAC vents contribute to the updated interior layout. The new centre console features dual cup holders and a wireless charging pad for smartphones. New switchgear and physical buttons add to the overall sophistication. The gear selector has been moved to the steering column for improved accessibility.
Color Options:
The 2024 Tucson will be offered in two new paint schemes—Fine Green Matte and Ultimate Red Metallic. A new triple-tone interior theme enhances the visual appeal.
Powertrain Options:
The powertrain options are expected to continue with the existing 2.0L petrol and 2.0L diesel engines. Transmission choices include a six-speed automatic and an eight-speed automatic unit with an optional AWD system.
Competition:
Upon its arrival in India, the facelifted Hyundai Tucson is set to compete with other top-spec SUVs in the market, including the Mahindra XUV700, Citroen C5 Aircross, Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan, and more.
