What’s New For 2022 ?
For the 2022, the new Tesla Model 3 long range variant has gotten more driving range which makes it upto 358 miles, following the Rear Wheel Drive model which came with more range upto 272 miles with it’s new low density Lithium-ion Phosphate battery pack last year.
Engine, Transmission, 0-60 mph, Top Speed & Performance
The Tesla Model 3 comes onboard with the base single motor rear wheel drive variant which delivers 241 hp and 298 lb ft of torque. And goes upto the dual motor for the standard all wheel drive and longer driving range one which makes a hefty 425 hp and 475 lb ft of torque with single speed direct transmission and can blast off from 0-60 mph in a silently but crazy 3.1 seconds with the performance variant (which also decreases the driving range while the rear wheel drive and long range variant can do it in 4.3 and 5.1 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 164 mph.
And just like you expect from a Tesla, the Model 3 also delivers smooth, agile and thrilling driving offering really great cornering angles and is stable with very impressive body control thanks to its low centre of gravity with it’s low placed battery pack and able to deliver a fun to ride experience. Not compared like the Model S but hey this Model 3 comes under $40k so what more could you expect?
Battery, Capacity, Range & Charging
With the options of three levels of fun, with battery size varying from 55 kWh upto 75 kWh which is capable to provide a driving range of 270 miles with the standard to 358 miles with the long range model. And can deliver a range of claimed 175 miles in just 15 minutes of charge from its standard 240 kW and 120 kW Tesla superchargers and also a 11.5 kWh charger will be also provided for the home outlet.
