The 2023 Ferrari Daytona SP3 is unquestionably unique, as Ferraris always are. More than 80 years of motorsports history and more than seven decades of envious road automobiles are represented by the Prancing Horse logo. But the Daytona SP3 is one of those Ferraris that stands out from the crowd. The Ferrari SP3 pays tribute to the three Ferrari 330 P4 sports racing cars that finished first, second, and third respectively in the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona. It is the third model in Ferrari’s Icona series of ultra-limited edition vehicles. The SP3 borrows retro stylistic cues from those racers, including their massive wheel arches, wraparound windshields, and upswept tails. Only 599 SP3s will ever be produced, thus seeing one on the road will be an extremely rare pleasure for a select few lucky automobile spotters.

The Ferrari portfolio will only include the brand-new Daytona SP3 for the 2023 model year. Only 599 units will be produced, and all of them have already been sold. Of the 599 vehicles, 499 have been sold to customers who previously bought an Icona series vehicle. With a dashboard and two seats coated in microfiber suede or leather and a digital gauge cluster and user interface taken from the SF90, the SP3’s interior is similar to that of most contemporary Ferraris. The pedal box in the Daytona SP3 swings forward and back, letting the driver pick the most comfortable driving position.
Engine & Performance
The most potent combustion engine ever installed in a Ferrari road car powers the Daytona SP3. A normally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine from the 812 Competizione that has been given a 10-horsepower bump to produce a final output of 829 hp. The rear wheels receive the output of the V12’s strong 514 lb-ft of torque and 9500 rpm of engine revs via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Ferrari states that the dry weight of the SP3 is 3275 pounds; this is due to the lightweight carbon fiber used to create the monocoque tub and body panels. Despite having only the back wheels receiving power, the SP3 should have no issue reaching 60 mph in less than three seconds and 100 mph in less than six as it soars toward its alleged top speed of 211 mph.

The Daytona SP3 has an EPA rating of 13 mpg overall, 12 mpg in the city and 16 mpg on the highway. We’re not shocked by the poor gas mileage considering the 6.5-liter V-12’s enormous 829 horsepower output. Also, we forecast that nobody will give a damn. When one of your aides gives you the invoices, you probably won’t notice the fuel bill if you can afford to spend the $2.2 million required to purchase an SP3.

Although the Daytona SP3’s centre console lacks a primary touchscreen, it does have a digital dashboard display behind the steering wheel that shares the same user interface as the SF90. While the rest of the settings are controlled by buttons and switches on the steering wheel, some settings, like the climate control, can be changed using touch-sensitive panels to the right of the wheel. The SP3 has USB connections for connecting your phone, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay. The rearview mirror also acts as a display for the backup camera.

The SP3 is incredibly configurable, which is to be expected for a hypercar with limited production. Although it comes in a variety of colors, if it isn’t painted red, is it still a Ferrari? Two distinct racing-stripe liveries can be used to accent the color scheme, and there are numerous wheel finishes and brake calliper colors to choose from.
