Most people associate the term “plug-in hybrid” with quirky yet useful automobiles like the Toyota Prius Prime. But, the svelte, low-slung 2023 Ferrari SF90 Stradale coupe and the SF90 Spider convertible both fall into that category and are powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 and three electric motors. The SF90, on the other hand, prioritises performance over efficiency; with a time to 60 mph of just 2.0 seconds, it is officially the fastest car we’ve ever tested. The SF90’s interior is covered in plush, sweet-smelling leather and equipped with high-quality switchgear and a 16-inch digital gauge cluster, along with bedroom poster-worthy looks and mind-bending acceleration. Naturally, the insane performance and opulent interior will set you back roughly $500,000. Yet, if you can manage to part with that hefty cash, you’ll be able to drive one of the sharpest, most capable, and thus far fastest supercars on the market.

What’s New?
Ferrari’s plug-in hybrid hypercar receives no substantial modifications for the 2023 model year. By hypercar standards, the SF90’s interior is subdued, with the yellow prancing-horse insignia offering a pop of colour in the middle of the steering wheel. This two-seat coupe has a sculpted dashboard with flowing lines that match the exterior’s flowing appearance. Cargo space is frequently scarce with high-performance exotics. This is undoubtedly true of the SF90, which offers about three cubic feet of space for your belongings.
Engine & Performance
Three electric motors and a colossally potent V8 provide power for the SF90. The trio of electric motors add 217-hp to the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8’s impressive 769-hp on its own. The output of the gas/electric powertrain is 986-hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. It has all-wheel drive, making it the first mid-engine Ferrari with that feature. The driving is controlled by an automatic transmission with eight speeds. That that power under the bonnet results in breathtaking acceleration, as you might expect. According to Ferrari’s official estimate, it will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. You can adjust the handling of the automobile to your liking by using one of the various driving modes. EV Only, Hybrid, Performance, and, last but not least, Qualify—a setting that enables you to fully utilize the performance capabilities of the vehicle—can all be selected via the mode selector.
