Toyota Venza Specifications & Features
The 2023 Toyota Venza competes in the fiercely contested mid-size two-row SUV class, but given that it is based on the RAV4 Hybrid, it lacks the practicality and interior space of the majority of the other crossovers in the market. Similar to the RAV4 Hybrid’s, it has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain with three electric motors. The Venza’s propulsion arrangement gives it basic all-wheel drive and fuel efficiency that outperforms the EPA ratings of V6-powered competitors like the Honda Passport and Nissan Murano. Along with having more amazing features than those two, the Venza’s cabin also offers an optional panoramic sunroof made of electrochromic glass that can change from translucent to opaque at the push of a button.
What’s New?
For 2023, the Venza gets a Nightshade model that gives it a different exterior look from the rest of the lineup. Based on the mid-range XLE, the Nightshade variant adds black door handles, front and rear bumper details, wheels, a grille surround, and mirror caps. Only Celestial Black, Wind Chill Pearl, or Ruby Red Flare are permitted as exterior colours. The Venza lineup remains the same for the new model year, with the exception of the XLE variant receiving standard LED fog lamps.
Toyota Venza Engine, Power, Acceleration & Performance
The Venza is only available as a hybrid. It is propelled by a system that combines a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine with three electric motors to provide 219 horsepower. The Venza has standard all-wheel drive, with the gasoline engine and the other two electric motors turning the front wheels while one of the electric motors powers the rear wheels. Everyone was let down by Venza’s driving characteristics during testing because it didn’t provide the smooth ride that was anticipated. Its acceleration was likewise subpar on the test track, taking 7.6 seconds to reach 60 mph, 1.5 seconds slower than the Passport’s record.

A larger 12.3-inch display is offered on the XLE and standard on the Limited. The Venza’s 8.0-inch touchscreen is standard and proudly sits atop the SUV’s dashboard. Whichever display is chosen, SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa connectivity are all included as standard features. A nine-speaker JBL premium stereo system and in-dash navigation are also unlocked by upgrading to the larger of the two displays.

The XLE variant, which has passive keyless entry, front and rear parking sensors, and 19-inch aluminium wheels as standard equipment, offers the greatest value of the group. All-wheel drive is a standard option on all Venza models, so people who desire it are not required to pay extra for it.

Conclusion
Elegant design, a fuel-efficient hybrid drivetrain, and that clever electrochromic panoramic roof. Buzzy engine, undersized interior for the class, and bland driving personality. The Venza is a RAV4 Hybrid dressed up in a fashionable suit, but compared to the two-row mid-size SUVs it competes with, it is less useful and expensive.
