Mini Countryman Specifications & Features
Compared to Mini’s smaller models, the 2025 Mini Countryman SUV appears decidedly larger. While it holds the title of the brand’s largest model, it still falls within the category of a small SUV. Despite the new 2025 Countryman offering a more spacious interior than its predecessor. The redesigned Countryman maintains Mini’s iconic styling cues but incorporates updated elements for a more contemporary look. The interior has received a modern makeover, featuring sustainable materials, a fabric-trimmed dashboard, a circular infotainment display, and simplified controls. Riding on the same platform as the BMW X1. The 2025 Countryman shares its 241-hp turbocharged 2.0L inline-four engine, with AWD referred to as All4 by Mini coming standard.

Mini Countryman Engine, Power & Performance
Initially, the Countryman S was the sole trim available at launch. With the possibility of additional trims, including an FWD variant, being offered later. The Countryman S All4 is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine generating 241 hp. Expect the sole transmission option to be a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, mirroring the selection in the BMW X1 and the Countryman JCW. AWD comes standard, consistent with the other models. According to Mini, this powertrain is capable of propelling the Countryman S to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, with a maximum towing capacity of 3500 pounds.

While neither the EPA nor Mini has disclosed fuel-economy estimates for the Countryman yet, we anticipate it will achieve similar ratings to the X1. The X1, for reference, is rated at 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

All 2025 Countryman models are equipped with a stylish 9.4-inch circular infotainment display. This high-definition OLED panel has a glossy finish, and the interface, Mini’s latest Operating System 9, boasts unique features, including the capability to upload personalized photos for use as a background. The system offers various customization options, and standard features include in-dash navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.

While the previous-generation model was offered in base, S, and plug-in hybrid SE trims, so far the new Countryman has only been shown in S All4 guise. Mini hasn’t released a comprehensive list of equipment for the Countryman S yet, but we know that it will come standard with a 9.4-inch round OLED infotainment display, ambient interior lighting, and 19-inch wheels.
