Toyota Camry Engine, Power & Performance
In the 2025 Camry, you can choose between two hybrid powertrains. One for the front wheels and another for all four. If you go for FWD, you’ll get a 2.5L four-cylinder and two electric motors, giving you a total of 225 hp. Opt for AWD, and there’s an extra motor powering the rear axle, boosting the combined output to 232 hp. Both setups come with a standard continuously variable automatic transmission. These powertrains are pretty much like what you find in the Toyota Prius but with a 2.5L replacing the Prius’ 2.0L four. So, it’s a mix of power and efficiency, catering to different preferences.

Toyota hasn’t revealed the 2025 Camry’s prices yet. With its new focus on hybrids, it’s probable that the costs will go up compared to last year’s model. Out of the four models Toyota plans to launch, the mid-range XLE trim seems to be the sweet spot for most buyers.
