10. Lister Storm
This Jaguar tuning specialist produced cars which included racing and road cars based on Jaguar’s model range. This was the highest specific output of any naturally aspirated engine at that time. For better weight distribution, the engine sitting back mated with a Graziano robotized manual transmission, and the car went to a top speed of 220 mph.

7. Rolls-Royce Phantom II
Rolls-Royce is not only famed just for its luxury cars, but also for a range of highly refined engines. There was a time, Royce claimed that the loudest audible sound on the inside was the ticking of the car’s analog clock. The Phantom II was equipped with a straight-six 7.7L offering 130 hp with a top speed of 100 mph.

Chirons are powered by an 8.0 Litre Quad-turbocharged W16 engine which cranks out a Mind-boggling 1500 horsepower and 1180-pound-feet of torque. And is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission powering all four wheels of the car. And is a missile when it comes to its acceleration blasting off from 0-60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and can reach a mind-blowing 261 mph.

5. Bugatti Royale / Type 41
Bugatti aiming for Rolls-Royce clients, produced between 1927-33, the Type 41 or Royale as most enthusiasts will remember was bigger in every department. It was longer, wider, and heavier, naturally the Bugatti needed an attention-grabbing engine, under the hood there lied a 14.7L monstrous engine. A single carburetor produced 300 hp.
4. Packard-Bentley “Mavis”
The most psychotic home-made “hobby” car ever made, creator, driver, and serious racing fanatic Chris Williams unveiled the Packard-powered Bentley Mavis in 2010. Using a 1930s Bentley 8 chassis heavily modified to accommodate Packard 4M-2500 V12 engine. The engine boasted 42L of engine displacement, a twin-port valve design along with 24 exhausts resulting in 1500 hp and a top speed of 160 mph.

3. Blitzen Benz
In 1991, Mercedes world-berating Blitzen Benz racer claimed the glory with an average speed record of 141.27 mph over the mile. The car was equipped with 21.5L 4 cylinder engine which offered 200 hp.
2. Campbell Railton Rolls-Royce Bluebird
Rolls-Royce beat the feat of high-speeds long before the Bugatti Chiron to clock over 300 mph. In 1935, Sir Malcolm Campbell stuffed a 36.7L supercharged Rolls-Royce developed V12 engine inside a Blue Bird that would average 301Mph over two-mile-long passes at Bonneville.

1. Brutus
Brutus an odd throwback to the days, when men were brutal and there was a surplus of aircraft engines. The engine sported 47 liters of displacement divided over 12-cylinders. The engine kicked out 750 hp in a lazy 1700 RPM and cruised at a mere 550 hp. The performance was bordered due to the heavyweight of the car.
