1. Tata Curvv EV – Expected Launch: July-September 2024
The Curvv EV, unveiled at the recent Bharat Mobility Expo, boasts a captivating design that blends futuristic elements with a touch of SUV muscularity. The signature sloping coupe-like roofline, complemented by flared wheel arches and a sleek LED light bar at the rear, exudes a sense of dynamism and elegance.
Inside the cabin, Tata promises an experience that rivals premium offerings. A panoramic sunroof bathes the interior in natural light, while a modern two-spoke multi-function flat-bottom steering wheel and a dual-screen layout featuring a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment and digital instrument cluster elevate the cabin’s ambience. Comfort and convenience features like dual-zone climate control and potentially ventilated seats will enhance the interior.
While specific battery details remain under wraps, industry speculations suggest a slightly larger pack compared to the Nexon EV, translating to a projected driving range of 500km, a significant figure for an SUV in this segment. Additionally, the Curvv EV will support fast charging, ensuring convenient and efficient on-the-go power replenishment. 2. Tata Harrier EV – Expected Launch: End of 2024
The Harrier EV, another exciting addition to Tata’s electric portfolio, draws inspiration from the recently launched Harrier facelift. The familiar silhouette retains its inherent muscularity, further accentuated by a panoramic sunroof and a distinct grille design reminiscent of the Curvv concept.
The interior of the Harrier EV will be a premium haven and will offer an experience comparable to vehicles in a higher segment. A large 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster creates a tech-savvy environment. Comfort features like dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof further enhance the passenger experience. Safety remains a priority, with seven airbags and a Level 2 ADAS suite anticipated to be standard equipment.
Details regarding the battery pack haven’t been officially revealed, but the Harrier EV is expected to boast a driving range of around 500 Km. Additionally, the Harrier EV is rumoured to be available in an AWD variant with a dual-motor setup for enhanced performance and off-road capability.
