What’s New ?
For the 2022, Polestar adds a new front wheel drive and offers the base models with extremely new lower prices and a range of 270 miles. An increase of 249 miles for the dual motor model and adds new individual optional packages. The new 2 with it’s Loaded Plus package which adds more luxury features adds a new heat pump which is said to extend the range by 10 percent and with an over the air update the dual motor model’s will increase the power to 476 horsepower and 502 pound feet with previous 408 horsepower and 487 pound feet
Engine, Transmission, 0-60 mph, Top Speed & Performance
The new Polestar 2 with it’s base single motor and front wheel drive makes a good 231 hp, while the dual motor with it’s all wheel drive makes a hefty 476 hp and 502 lb ft of torque which can blast off from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 127 mph and it comes with all the perks of EV, like the regenerative braking and perky acceleration with instant torque and all season tyres and delivers really great steady performance with impressive driving and sturdy handling which are the many aspects this car excels at and is perfect for your daily chores as well as highway cruising. It feels more calibre which is the attributes that it carries with the Volvo brand.

Battery Capacity, Range & Charging
The Polestar 2 with it’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) comes with a 75 kWh Lithium ion battery which manages to deliver a great 270 miles of driving range with the single motor and upto 249 miles of range with the dual motors. And can charge upto 80 percent from dead in just 40 minutes with it’s DC fast 150 kW charging.

Price
With the new decreased price of more than 15,000 it starts at an effective price of $39,400 (with standard nine airbags) with the tax credits for the base FWD model which makes it a direct competition with the Tesla Model 3.
