The Kia Seltos is placed under Sportage and above the Soul. Seltos has bigger boot space and roomier cabin than the other compact SUVs. It gets plenty of infotainment features with big screen. Surprisingly it has exciting driving dynamics all thanks to its well composed chassis with good cabin insulation. But its base powertrain is unrefined.
What’s new 2022?
For 2022, the Kia Seltos gets Nightfall Edition which consists 18-inch blacked-out wheel with black exterior trims and the top end variant offered with flat bottom steering wheel. Now it gets 10.3-inch infotainment system and lots of driver assistance features as a standard.

Seltos boasts with some desirable features such as 10.3-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7.0-inch gauge cluster, heads-up display, wireless charging pad and 8-speaker Bose audio system.
It scored 4-star safety rating according to NHTSA. Lane departure warning with lane keep assist and automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection as a standard while cyclist detection and adaptive cruise control is available as an optional.

Engine, Top Speed, 0-60 mph & Performance
The Kia Seltos comes in two engine configurations such as 2.0-litre engine produces 146 HP while 1.6-litre turbocharged engine burns out 175 HP. The 2.0-litre engine mated to CVT while the turbo 1.6-litre paired to 7-speed DCT. It offers all-wheel drivetrain as an option on 2.0-litre but as a standard on top-end 16-litre turbo. The turbo variant sprints 0 to 60 MPH in 6.6 seconds and have a top speed of 125 mph. Its steering feedback is quite accurate and delivers sharp handling while cornering. Seltos has very stiff ride quality than the rivals such as Jeep Compass and Mazda CX-30.

Fuel efficiency
According to EPA, the Kia Seltos with turbocharged 1.6-litre engine and all-wheel drivetrain delivers 30 mpg while with 2.0-litre engine and front-wheel drivetrain delivers 35 mpg.
