Koenigsegg CC850 Is The Fastest Manual Supercar In World

The Swedish brand Koenigsegg is back with its insane hypercar The CC which is now CC850. The CC850 pays tribute to CC8 which was the first production Koenigsegg supercar from year 2002. Koenigsegg is well known for making some serious aggressive cars which can break any record. Currently their flagship rockets are Jesko, Jesko Absolute and Regera all of them are known for their ultimate record braking top speeds and acceleration, also Gemera is the fastest supercar with four seats and two scissor doors. If we talk about CC8S then it was one of the most fabled supercar back in time with just 6 production units between 2002-2003, and now the CC850 is the new generation by Swedish brand Koenigsegg which is the fastest manual hypercar in the world.

Koenigsegg recently launched the CC850 in world premier and just after the launch the news pop-up that this is the fastest manual transmission supercar in the world. Well CC850 is both Manual and Automatic, they have used a complete new technology in which you can select if you wanna drive it as a manual or automatic. There’s a six-speed gated shifter in the cabin, but the gearbox has nine cogs. Car continue to keep the design tradition of Koenigsegg sleek, slender, uninterrupted design with minimal clutter making it different and better looking design as compare to other supercars which are under production.

Koenigsegg is going to complete its 20 Years of car manufacturing and now its time to celebrate it and what’s better to built a car which is going to be the fastest manual in the world. This new vehicle is inspired from CC8 which was the first ever production supercar by them. And the 50 in the back denote the production number of the car and  founder Christian von Koenigsegg is turning 50, However the production number is increased with 20 units more due to the high demand of the beast. So now the total production of this CC850 is going to b 70-Units. Which means if you are capable or a millionaire then its a chance to get your hands on one of these beautiful masterpieces again because previous 50-units are already sold and these 20 more are not gonna be without owners for a long time.

Christian von Koenigsegg said in the annuoncement – “The response to the CC850 is overwhelming. Producing an additional 20 on top of the planned 50 CC850s is still not even close to demand, but it gives us the chance to consider the brand loyalists to a larger degree, while also welcoming a small portion of new owners,

This amazing CC850 is power by 5.0-liters twin-turbo V8 inspired by Koenigsegg Jesko. It produces power up to 1185-Horsepower (884 Kilowatts) while running on gasoline and generates 1385-Horsepower (1033 Kw) while running on E85. Transmission used in CC850 is also from Jesko. In total it has 9 speed transmission from which 6 will run forward and one for reverse. But you have different gear rations for the road and track settings, making use of the 9 gears the transmission has. This is badass vehicle with ultimate power, performance and engineering. Top Speed and accelerations are not reveal yet but it is expected to get 330 mph of top speed and 0-60 mph will be under 2.5 seconds which is really insane and powerfil.

The car features the legendary Koenigsegg Dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors, the removable hardtop roof, and the adjustable ride height of more modern Koenigseggs plus active aerodynamics. CC850 sit a bit lower then the Jesko and Regera to keep the tradition of CC8S. They have created the shifter knob from wood, to give a really tactile feel and to enhance the analogue feel. The Swedish flag on top of the shifter is an homage to the shifter in the CC8S, which also had the flag on top of its shifter. The gated shifter grid of the CC850 is a work of art, and watching Christian work through it is so good. There is also a nine-speed automatic mode which you can enable with the shifter as of hotcars.
