The Mercedes-Benz EQB is totally based on the gasoline powered GLB-class SUV. This all electric SUV might come with dual motors with at least 221 HP and driving range somewhere around 250 miles. It offers third row sitting as optional but it feels more claustrophobic and compact for adults.

Mercedes-Benz hasn’t announced the pricing for EQB yet. But we could expect that EQB would starts from $57,000(progressive) to the $67,000(advanced) and ‘premium’ ($62,000) is placed in between.

The features includes trimmed door panels, soft leather upholstery, bright metal trim, MBUX infotainment system with touchscreen and voice command, steering wheel controls for its audio, navigation.

The safety features includes automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection as standard, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist as standard, adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode.

Dimensions

The Mercedes-Benz EQB is 4,684mm long, 1,834mm wide and has 1,667mm of height with wheelbase of 2,829mm.

The Mercedes-Benz EQB would share its platform with EQA and both have the same chassis components with the gasoline powered GLA-class as well as GLB-class SUV. The entry-level variant EQB250 will powered by 221 HP electric motor connected to front wheels. The more powerful variant EQB350 has All-wheel drive as optional.

Battery Information

The Mercedes-Benz EQB has 66.5 kWh battery like in EQA. But we would expect that Mercedes may offer slightly larger pack for EQB and has driving range of at least 200 miles to compete against key rivals like Audi e-tron and Tesla Model Y.
